With more than 60 years of experience in the construction industry, Johnson Western Gunite Company has proudly earned the reputation of being the industry leader in all aspects of commercial shotcrete/gunite application in the western United States.

Established in 1935, Johnson Western is a privately owned company with offices located in both San Leandro, California and Seattle, Washington. Johnson Western was incorporated in the State of California in 1979. In addition to being licensed in these states, the Company is also a licensed contractor in Oregon, Utah, Idaho and Nevada.

Johnson Western’s current management team has worked together for over 25 years and has a wealth of experience relevant to the construction industry. Such expertise has enabled Johnson Western to become one of the best qualified contractors in the country. The Company’s estimating, project management and consulting staff includes Civil, Structural and Geotechnical engineers with an average of over 20 years of experience each. Superintendents also have at least 20 years of experience, and all foremen have a minimum of 5 years experience. Johnson Western is proud to have the largest and most qualified staff of nozzlemen and finishers in any of the Company’s service areas, as well as the most impressive fleet of shotcrete and gunite equipment.

Over the years, Johnson Western has become the contractor of choice for taking on extremely high profile, time sensitive shotcrete projects. With the expertise and resources to ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget Johnson Western is, in many cases, the only contractor capable of handling jobs of such magnitude.
