Estimator - Project Manager Structural Concrete (06/06/08)

Johnson Western Gunite Company is a mid-size concrete contractor located in the East Bay near the Oakland Airport. We are involved in all types of construction including dams, tunnels, highways, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, site work, etc. throughout Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.

The firm was established in 1935 and is currently growing at a steady rate. As part of that growth we intend to expand on our work in structural concrete and general contracting.

We are looking for an experienced structural concrete estimator/project manager. Project manager will handle projects from inception to completion. Projects estimated will be as either a subcontractor or general contractor. A candidate needs to have excellent written and oral communication skills, well versed in computers, problem-solving skills, be a team player, be self-motivated, and able to develop client relationships.

A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is desirable but not required. Previous experience in estimating and project management in structural concrete is required. Must be well organized and enthusiastic.
